Post an offer on your Google Business Profile (2026)
What you’ll have at the end
One offer post on your Google Business Profile, sent to Google for review. Google says an offer "requires a title, dates, and time", and that it "automatically includes a View Offer button on the post." You can also add a description, a photo or video, a coupon code, a link, and terms and conditions. Once the post is live, Google says it shows on Search and Maps.
Before you start
You’ll need
- A verified Google Business Profile
- The Google Account linked to that profile
- A computer
- A title for your offer, and the dates and times it starts and ends
- Any coupon code, link or terms you'd like to add
What it costs. Google's help on creating posts doesn't mention any charge.
This guide is for a profile that's already verified. Google's posts help says a post with the status Pending "doesn't show on Search or Maps", and that this can be because "your profile is unverified." If your profile isn't verified yet, please verify it first.
Please sign in with the Google Account that's linked to your Business Profile.
Some businesses can't post offers. Google's posts content policy says: "Hotels can't create 'offer' posts, or any post that mentions or includes links to deals, promotions, special offers, or discounts."
Please read Google's policy for posts before you write yours. In Google's words: - "You're responsible for making sure that your posted content complies with all applicable laws and regulations." - "To avoid fraud or abuse, we may remove posts with unverified contact information. This includes phone numbers, email addresses, and social media handles."
Google's posts help also says: "Posts that include a phone number in the post description might get rejected if they cannot be verified as being connected to the business on which they are posted."
Steps
1. Sign in to your Google Account
On a computer, sign in to the Google Account linked to your Business Profile.
2. Go to your Business Profile
Go to business.google.com and open your Business Profile.
3. Select Posts
Select Posts.
4. Select Add post
Select Add post.
5. Select Offer
Google asks you to select the post type: Update, Offer or Event. Please select Offer.
6. Enter a title for your offer
Type a short title for your offer. Google says an offer requires one.
7. Enter the dates and times
Enter the date and time your offer starts, and the date and time it ends. Google says an offer requires dates and time.
8. Add a description, if you'd like
If you'd like to say more about the offer, type a description. Please don't include a phone number here unless it can be verified as your business's number; Google says such posts might get rejected.
9. Add a photo or video, if you'd like
If you'd like to show a photo or video of your offer, add it now. You can skip this step.
10. Add a coupon code, if you'd like
Google says that to add more details, you select the available options, like Coupon code. If you have a code customers can use, select Coupon code and type it in.
11. Add a link, if you'd like
If your offer has a web page, add its link.
12. Add your terms and conditions, if you'd like
If your offer has conditions, type them in.
13. Select Post
When you're ready, at the bottom right, select Post.
14. Select Skip, if asked
If Google asks which Business Profiles to share the post on, select Skip to post it on this profile only. Google's posts help says: "After you publish your post, Google reviews it to make sure it meets our posts content policy." This guide ends here, at that review.
If something looks different
- If you'd like the offer to publish later, at step 13 turn on Schedule this post first, then select the date and time you'd like it to publish.
- Google says you can publish a post on a recurring basis: from the Repeats dropdown menu, select how often you'd like it to show, such as weekly, monthly, or a custom schedule.
- If you manage more than one Business Profile, at step 14 you can select the profiles where you'd like to share the offer, then select Post.
- To check your post, go to your Business Profile and select Posts. Google shows one of three statuses. Live: "The post is public and shows on Search and Maps." Pending: "The post doesn't show on Search or Maps." Not approved: "The post doesn't show on Search or Maps. The question mark next to the status indicates which content policy the post violates."
- To change or remove your offer after you post it, go to your Business Profile and select Posts. At the right of the post, select More, then Edit or Delete.
