Get your Google review link and share it with customers (2026)
What you’ll have at the end
The review link for your Google Business Profile, copied from your profile and sent to your customers in an email or message. When a customer opens it, they can leave a review of your business on Google.
Before you start
You’ll need
- A verified Google Business Profile
- The Google Account associated with that profile
- A computer
- A way to reach your customers, such as email or a chat app
What it costs. Google says you can add or claim your business at no charge. Google's review link help doesn't mention any charge.
This guide is for a profile that's already verified. Google's reviews help says you must verify your business before you can reply to reviews. If your profile isn't verified yet, please verify it first.
Please sign in with the Google Account associated with your profile. Google says you need to be signed in to that account to find your profile.
Please read Google's rules on asking for reviews before you send the link. Google's prohibited and restricted content policy says businesses must not: - Offer incentives, such as payment, discounts, free goods or services, in exchange for posting a review, or for changing or removing a negative review. - Discourage or prohibit negative reviews, or selectively ask customers for positive reviews. - Require or pressure customers to leave ratings or reviews while they're on the premises. - Ask customers to include specific content in their review.
The same policy says you may ask customers to review a genuine experience, without offering incentives or trying to influence the rating or what the review says. Google's restrictions help says that for fake or incentivized reviews, Google may stop a profile receiving new reviews for a set period, unpublish its existing reviews for a set period, or show customers a warning that fake reviews were removed.
Steps
1. Sign in to your Google Account
On a computer, sign in to the Google Account associated with your Business Profile.
2. Go to your Business Profile
Go to business.google.com. You can also search Google for the words my business, or for your business's name and city.
3. Select Read Reviews
On your profile, select Read Reviews.
4. Select Get more reviews
Select Get more reviews. Google shows your review link and a QR code.
5. Select Copy
To copy the review link, select Copy.
6. Write your message to customers
Open an email or a message to a customer. Please write a short request to review their genuine experience. Please don't offer anything in return, and don't ask for specific content in the review. Google's review tips say customers must be signed in to a Google Account to leave a review, so you may like to mention that.
7. Paste the link and send
Paste the review link into your message, then send it. Google suggests other places for the link too: on your receipts, in thank-you emails, or at the end of a chat with a customer.
If something looks different
- If you can't find your profile at step 2, please check you're signed in to the Google Account associated with it.
- If you'd like a QR code instead of a link, right-click the QR code at step 4 and select Save image as...; Google says reviews QR codes can only be made in a computer browser, not on mobile devices. Google suggests printing it and displaying it in your store.
- If you'd like to share one customer's existing review rather than ask for a new one, Google's reviews help explains how to share a link to a single review from Google Maps. That's a different link from the one in this guide.
