Set up a Meta business portfolio (2026)

3 min read

What you’ll have at the end

A Meta business portfolio with your business's name, which you have full control of. A portfolio holds your business's Facebook Pages, Instagram accounts, ad accounts and other assets in one place, and lets you give other people access to them. Meta needs one for some things, such as using Meta Business Suite, monthly invoicing and verifying your domain.

This guide ends when you confirm your business email. Adding your Page and ad account to the portfolio comes after.

Before you start

You’ll need

  • A Facebook profile (or a managed Meta account from your organisation)
  • Your business's public name
  • A business email address you can open now

What it costs. Meta Business Suite and business portfolios are free.

You need a Facebook profile to log in with. If your organisation gave you a managed Meta account, you can use that instead.

Please have your business's public name ready, and a business email address you can open now. Meta uses this address to contact you about your business; customers don't see it.

You can personally create up to two business portfolios, so please check you don't already have one for this business.

Steps

  1. 1. Go to Meta Business Suite

Go to business.facebook.com on a computer.

  2. 2. Log in

On Log in to Business Tools from Meta, choose Continue with Facebook and log in with your Facebook profile. If you have a managed Meta account, choose Log in with a Managed Meta Account instead.

  3. 3. Open the menu below Home

Click the drop-down menu below Home in the top left.

  4. 4. Choose to create a portfolio

    Click Create a business portfolio.

  5. 5. Enter the portfolio name

Type your business's name as the public knows it. Meta shows this name across its services. It can't contain special characters.

  6. 6. Enter your name and business email

If you logged in with your Facebook profile, enter your first name, your surname and your business email address. With a managed Meta account, Meta doesn't ask for these.

People you later add to the portfolio can see your contact information.

  7. 7. Create the portfolio

Click Create or Create portfolio, whichever your screen shows.

  8. 8. Confirm your business email

If you created the portfolio with your Facebook profile, Meta sends an email asking you to confirm your business email address. Please open it and confirm. This guide ends here.

If something looks different

  • If the menu below Home doesn't offer Create a business portfolio, you may already have the most portfolios one person can create, or, with a managed Meta account, you may not have organisation management permissions in Organisation Manager.
  • A new portfolio may not have every advertising feature straight away. Meta shows what you can use in Business Support Home.
  • Meta is moving people to Meta Accounts, so your account settings may be under Accounts Centre or Meta Account settings.
