Create a Facebook Page for your business on a computer (2026)
What you’ll have at the end
A public Facebook Page for your business, with its name, category, contact details, profile and cover photos and an action button. Ads in Meta Ads Manager appear in the name of a Facebook Page, so you need one before you advertise there.
Before you start
You’ll need
- A Facebook account in good standing, verified with an email address or phone number
- Your business name and category
- Your business's contact details, location and hours
- A profile picture (such as your logo) and a cover photo
What it costs. Meta's help for creating a Page lists no charge.
Meta says only an official representative of a business can create a Page for it. You need a Facebook account in good standing that has been verified with an email address or phone number; new or restricted accounts may not be able to create Pages.
Please have ready your business name and category, your contact details, location and hours, and two images: a profile picture (such as your logo) and a cover photo.
A Page is different from turning on professional mode for your own profile, and from a Facebook group.
Steps
1. Open Pages
Log in to Facebook on a computer, then click Pages on the left.
2. Start a Page
Click Create Page.
3. Choose a public Page
Select Public Page, then click Next.
4. Begin
Click Get started.
5. Enter the name and category
Add your Page name (your business name) and its category. Meta may reject names with symbols or unusual capitals.
6. Add a bio and create the Page
Add a short bio if you'd like (it's optional), then click Create Page.
7. Add your details
Add information such as your contact details, location and hours, then click Next.
8. Add photos and the action button
Add your profile picture and cover photo, edit the action button (the button people press on your Page), and click Next.
9. Connect WhatsApp, or choose Skip
Connect your WhatsApp to the Page, or click Skip. You can connect it later.
10. Invite people, or move on
Invite friends to connect with your Page, then click Next.
11. Choose notifications
Select your notification settings and click Done.
If something looks different
- If Meta says "You can't create more Pages at this time" or "Cannot create Page", you've reached the limit on Pages for now. Please try again later.
- If something doesn't work, Meta suggests trying another browser, clearing your browser's cache and cookies, or updating your browser.
