Learn · The R track

R, in three levels

Each level ends with something you built and a record that links to it. You can stop after any one of them, and what you earned still stands on its own.

R Foundations

One messy export becomes a trustworthy table, a summary by group, a chart and a saved results file, as a script in base R.

R Practitioner

dplyr and ggplot2 for the same work in fewer lines, a second table and its joins, and a report someone else can read.

Earns: a Practitioner completion record.

In development

R Professional

Models and their output, reproducible projects, databases, and an application another person opens.

Earns: a Professional completion record.

Finish all three

Completing all three levels earns the Alongrail Certificate in R: three levels, three scripts, each one built on your own. Like every record, it’s private until you publish it.

Awarded for three completed levels and the three projects linked above.

Each level also earns its own record as you finish it. The certificate comes when all three are complete — Practitioner and Professional are in development.

The record is a description of work you did, not a claim about you. The certificate is the same, three times over. It’s issued the moment your last level record exists, private until you publish it, and yours to unpublish.
