Learn · The Google Sheets track

Google Sheets, in three levels

Each level ends with something you built and a record that links to it. You can stop after any one of them, and what you earned still stands on its own.

Google Sheets Practitioner

Pivot tables, lookups across two tables, validation, and views a whole team can read at once.

Earns: a Practitioner completion record.

In developmentNeeds a paid plan

Google Sheets Professional

A shared spreadsheet as a small system: Apps Script, connected data, owners and a change record.

Needs a paid Google Cloud or Workspace plan for the connected-data half — the first two levels run free on a personal account

Earns: a Professional completion record.

Finish all three

Completing all three levels earns the Alongrail Certificate in Google Sheets: three levels, three spreadsheets, each one built on your own. Like every record, it’s private until you publish it.

Awarded for three completed levels and the three projects linked above.

Each level also earns its own record as you finish it. The certificate comes when all three are complete — Practitioner and Professional are in development.

The record is a description of work you did, not a claim about you. The certificate is the same, three times over. It’s issued the moment your last level record exists, private until you publish it, and yours to unpublish.
